The Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL, also known as the Alokozay Cola Shpageeza Cricket League for sponsorship reasons) (Pashto: ?????? ????? ????) is a cricket tournament organized by the Afghanistan Cricket Board every year at the Alokozay Kabul International Cricket Ground, Kabul, Afghanistan. The Shpageeza tournament is established with six franchises, including players from the national team, overseas, players from the 'A' team and players from the under 19 team as well as elite performers from the respective regions participating in this tournament. In addition, ACB has given the league an identity by franchising all team while players will be selected through a draft for each team.
The ultimate goal of this 12-day tournament is promoting cricket and sport in Afghanistan and establishing peace through sport. The tournament is broadcast live on Afghanistan's prominent channel 1TV using HD quality production standards, and the tournament is commercialized by franchising and marketing each team to a company/organization. Through the design and broadcast of this tournament, Afghans will have firsthand access to watch their national players in their home ground.

History
The League was established in 2013 titled as Shpageeza Cricket Tournament. Five regional teams participated in the event and it was a successful initiative by Afghanistan Cricket Board. The champion of the first league was Shpeenghar Tigers for the inaugural edition of the tournament. The matches were telecasted from Shamshad TV. The second edition was conducted with the same number of team each representing out five regions in the country. Mis-e-Ainak Knights won the title championship. Gulbadin Naib was named Man of the tournament; Noor Ali was the best batsman and Rokhan Barekzai was named the best bowler of this edition. The matches were telecast on 1TV. Starting from the 2017 season, the ICC granted List A status to the Twenty20 domestic competition (List A rather than Twenty20 status as Afghanistan does not have a domestic 50-over tournament). In May 2017 however, the ICC recognised Afghanistan's 50-over Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament by granting it List A status and matches in the 2017 Shpageeza cricket league are classified as Twenty20 status.

Shpageeza Cricket League was played among 5 regions of Afghanistan but a sixth team Kabul Eagles, officially sponsored by Aatif Mashal was added in the 2015 edition. Following teams participate in the Shpageeza T20 Tournament:
- Amo Sharks (Amo Nahangan), captained by Afghan national medium fast bowler Mirwais Ashraf and coached by Gordon Parsons. The team represents the provinces of Kunduz, Badakhshan, Balkh, Jowzjan, Faryab, Sar-i-Pul, Samangan, Takhar and Baghlan.
- Band-e-Amir Dragons (Band-e-Amir Khamaran), captained by Afghan star leg spinner Rashid Khan Arman and coached by Indian coach Umesh Patwal. Which represents the provinces of Maidan Wardak, Bamyan, Daykundi, Panjshir, Kapisa and Parwan.
- Boost Defenders (Boost Satunki), captained by Afghan left arm fast bowler Shapoor Zadran and coached by Adam Hollioake. The team represents the provinces of Kandahar, Helmand, Herat, Ghor, Badghis, Urozgan, Farah, Nimroz and Zabul.
- Kabul Eagles (Kabul Bazan), captained by national side captain Asghar Stanikzai and coached by Augustin Logie. The team was added to the league in 2015. The team was the champions of the league in 2016.
- Mis Ainak Knights (Mis Ainak Atalan), captained by former Afghan national captain Mohammad Nabi and coached by Andy Moles. The team represents the provinces of Khost, Logar, Ghazni, Paktia and Paktika. The team was the champions of the league in 2014.
- Speen Ghar Tigers (Speen Ghar Zmaryan), captained by Afghan star batsman Shafiqullah Shafaq and coached by Herschelle Gibbs. The team represents the provinces of Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar and Nuristan. The team was the champion of the league in 2013 and 2015.
Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL) 2017
Having been awarded the Test status earlier this year, Afghanistan cricket has begun making giant strides in the global game. Shpageeza Cricket League, a T20 tournament which has gotten bigger and better this year, reiterates the earnest efforts of administrators in the country as well as cricket's potential in the region. Even though quite a few international players had participated in previous editions of the tournament, the 2017 edition is shaping up to be a major step in Afghanistan's dreams of joining the big league.
All matches of the fifth edition of Shpageeza Cricket League will be telecast live across Afghanistan on 1TV. The tournament will run from September 11 to 22 at Kabul International Cricket Stadium. There will be a total of 15 league matches after which 2 qualifiers and an eliminator pave the way for the title clash.
With 6 overseas coaches from countries such as England, South Africa, India and West Indies in charge of the various teams, the tournament has managed to attract plenty of talented cricketers across the international circuit.
