Aio Wireless (pronounced "A-O" Wireless) was a prepaid wireless service provider in the United States, wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T Inc. Aio Wireless offered its services using AT&T Mobility's nationwide GSM, HSPA+, and LTE wireless networks. Data plans offer a maximum download speed of 8 Mbit/s using LTE, and 4 Mbit/s using HSPA+ . In May 2014, Aio Wireless merged with Cricket Wireless, due to the acquisition deal by AT&T and Leap Wireless (parent of Cricket Wireless). AT&T, Aio and Cricket later announced that the New Cricket would work on Aio's current wireless network which uses AT&T's network. Cricket's existing network will be converted from CDMA to GSM and merged into the AT&T nationwide network. Cricket will stop offering CDMA devices as early as March 2015 and began selling GSM devices on May 18, 2014.
